(Tiny Tips) – Find Your Likes On Instagram – Instagram is a great platform to follow artists, influencers, musicians, and friends. But our opinions change from time to time—we may no longer want to like something we double-clicked on before.
Luckily, Instagram offers a helpful way to find posts you’ve liked and bookmarked. These features help you keep track of what you’re interested in now, taking into account your past tastes.
Likes vs. Saved Posts on Instagram: What’s the Difference?
On Instagram, if you find a post helpful, you can like it and thank the author. When you save a post, it is added to your bookmarks or collections.
You can like an Instagram post, but you don’t have to save it. You can also save a post without liking it. Instagram tracks your behavior no matter what. The likes and bookmarks features are useful in the future as you can view posts that you have liked in the past or have saved to your account.
To keep track of your liked and saved posts, Instagram allows you to view them by browsing different areas of your account. The ability to view Instagram likes and saves is very convenient and can be helpful if, for example, you want to find Instagram reels that you have viewed. But remember: You won’t be able to see posts that you liked or bookmarked but were deleted by the person who posted them.
How to see your previously liked posts on Instagram
By default, Instagram saves all the posts you like to your account. You can view any of your recently liked Instagram posts through Instagram’s Android and iOS apps, or even on Instagram.com. We’ll show you how to check this across platforms.
On Android and iOS
If you use Instagram’s Android or iOS app, follow these steps:
- On Android and iOS, go to your Instagram profile and tap on the three lines – also known as the hamburger menu.
- Click Your activity in the pop-up menu that appears.
- On the “Your Activity” page, select “Likes” in the “Interactions” section.
- This will open a new page showing all your favorite posts in a grid view.
By default, liked posts appear in chronological order. However, you can view the older ones first by clicking “Newest to Oldest” and selecting “Oldest to Newest” in the popup. You can filter posts by date and author by selecting “All Dates” or “All Authors.”
In addition to sorting and filtering, the Likes page also allows you to like multiple images at the same time. Click “Select” in the upper right corner, select the post you want to like, and then click “Unlike” at the bottom.
On the Instagram website
If you’re visiting Instagram.com on a laptop or desktop, follow these steps to find posts you like on Instagram:
- Select “More” in the lower left corner.
- Then click on Your activity.
- Once the page is open, you can view your interactions, with the default tab showing your liked posts.
Use the “Sort & Filter” buttons to filter the posts you like. You can also remove your likes by clicking “Select” in the upper right corner, then selecting the post you want to like, then selecting “Like” at the bottom.
Why can’t I see all my likes on Instagram?
While you can see your likes on Instagram, not all likes are visible. As of this writing, you can only see your 300 most recent liked posts.
If you’re conservative about likes on your posts on Instagram, your story will last for years to come. However, if you like posts frequently, you may only see posts you’ve liked from the past few weeks or months.
How to view your saved Instagram posts
Instagram’s Save feature allows you to save posts and videos for future reference. But where can you find your saved Instagram posts when you want to revisit them?
In this order:
- On mobile, click the hamburger menu in the upper right corner while viewing your profile. On the Instagram desktop site, click More in the lower left corner.
- Select Saved from the pop-up menu that appears. This will take you directly to the post you have saved privately in your account.
Fortunately, there is no limit to the number of saved posts you can see. As a result, your Saved area can quickly become cluttered. To stay organized, we recommend using Instagram Collections to organize your saved posts.
Track your liked and saved posts on Instagram
Posts you like and the bookmark feature on Instagram allow you to keep track of all the interesting posts you come across on the platform. The bookmark feature is a more private way to keep track of interesting posts. Even better: With the bookmark function you can sort all interesting articles into so-called collections.
Now that you know how to check your liked and saved posts, you should use both to keep track of interesting things you find on Instagram.
